My mom liked the B-52s! We live in California though, so she had to get used to my musical taste. ;-) I'm so glad I was young in the late 70s and 80s. So much weird, fun, unashamedly strange music that wasn't afraid to be different.Poor kids today have nothing but ghetto thugs trying to act badass, the attack of the "Divas" and the Jonas Bros. Sad state of music now.
