just because you have a record deal doesn't mean you've "made it." The fans still need to find you. I rememeber when Joanna was fired from the part of Annie at age 12. She won the Macy's contest search for Annie and toured the country but didn't "make it." So she has every right to be on American Idol, another contest!

It is unfair. Idol is about discovering fresh/new talent from people who don't have the advantages that Joanna has. It's sad.
