prog rock just fell out of vogue all togeather-- every "progressive rock band" changed at that time or ceased to exist ( as is the case of the greatest prog band of all time Gentle Giant) Genesis and Yes simply morphed into the times. True Progressive rock was DEAD in the 80's. Had nothing to do with Steve Hackett leaving Genesis. I think this song stinks. Crap from people like Steve Hackett and Rick Wakeman is why prog rock died,ego, these guys had no idea why their old bands were great.

One of muy favorites songs of steve..im very hard fan of his music...genesis lost his creativity when he left in 1977...my favorites albums:spectral mornings..voyage to the acolyte and defector....enjoy!!!!!!
