The Assembly was a one-off project for protege Vince Clark between Yazoo and Erasure. The song 'Never Never' which does not appear to have its title in the song was a massive hit in the UK and peaked at no. 4 in late November 1983. Feargal Sharkey had to wait another 2 years before achieving a no.1 hit but Vince Clarke had to wait until June 1992 before achieving Erasure's only poll position to date with 'The Abbes-Esque' EP. |
