I remember being in the Lacy Lady's and Tom Holland played this, and I was thinking: " What the Heck, a record with people just talking over it? It will NEVER catch on"The rest as they say is History. I know Gill Scott Heron and the Last Poets along with J.A Toasters used to do this long before these guys but theirs the 1st to a Funky beat....1979.
