Yes there is a version that is very short - 2 something minutes but it rips your heart apart. John Coltrane's sound is beyond anything known in Jazz so many conservative jazz listeners don't like him. Their loss. They should just stick to big band swing and Kenny G.

Well, I'm an Australian living in Mexico, so I had no say in the 2008 USA elections. Having said this, this is the closest thing I have as a place to share in the happyness that USA, the home of jazz, has now seen the first African American President!Congradulations USA! God bless Jazz and God bless America!...God bless Coltrane and those that died in the church that inspired this song...
