On "Newhart" there was a scene where Mary Frann, who played his wife, was called on to do a one-sided phone conversation and had to do it over and over because she was used to interacting with other actors. After a number of takes, Bob Newhart finally went up to her and said, "It's not that easy, is it?"Perfect.
