jazz pirouettes are with a turned in working leg and depending how the teacher wants it, either a straight or bent supporting leg. Ballet is just a turned out pirouette. Everyone's different, but most ballet schools tell you to pull up your knee, spot in the direction, push off from a good fourth position, and hold in your stomach

nice :) but ppl who know the diff. between a jazz and ballet pirouette PLZ tell me cuz i hav no idea.. also how do u stay so straight during a pirouette??!

It depends on the foot... wich one is goig first...

i wish they wouldn't cross their posses over. you know? so that the toes show? but i'm in that habit too, so i understand. :-) but they're soo on-balance! i can do triples, but it's not consistant. i'm just not a turner!! but these girls sure are! |
