This version, like most live versions of "Ife," starts out in a similar way to the version on Pangaea titled as "Gondwana."

Also check out "Get Up With It" !! Leibman (again) plays AWESOME flute on track "Mayhaisha". Incidentally, Lieb did the whole "On The Corner" session hearing nothing but a bit of percussion in his cans !!

"Live @ Phil" is slightly different again. Carlos Garnett (sax) and Sedrik Lawson (organ). Unfortunately, the recording quality is not great, however its a really good blow !! They perform an mega fast version of "Jack Johnson" and a 20mins cut of "Black Satin" !!

Dave Liebman is a ninja

The live albums "Agharta" and "Pangaea" were recorded in Japan in 1975, with this same band, except with Sonny Fortune on sax instead of Dave Liebman. Some of the tunes start out the same as the ones on "Dark Magus", but the improvisation takes them in a different direction.I don't have this one, but "In Concert: Live at Philharmonic Hall" is an earlier recording (1972), with some of the same players.
