I remember, after writing him a six page fan letter..picking up the phone and it was Gord..wow! what an excellent surprise..spent 2+ hours on the phone with him discussing everything from his magnificent music to our battles with the bottle and kids and trips up north..little does he know that his call saved my life..all because he's a Canadian who cares about his fans..thanks for a lifetie of music Gord..

the first song I sang publicly was also "Im a little teapot"and interesting that this video was uploaded on my seventeenth birthday...and that I'm also a Canadian singer/songwriter...And I love Gordon's music...

whats with everyone putting down Canada its a great place to live and the people here are amazing... also to the americans who dont know it gets pretty cold there too, Minnisota, Wisconsin,N.Y state. this guy is just trying to get a reaction... just another generic, forgettable youtube hater, who hates for no reason but to hate...i'm canadian and no, it doesn't suck. only the hipsters in vancouver and montreal suck, but hipsters suck everywhere...and gordie is brilliant and still a handsome man...

Anyone hear of Bryan Adams being a total dickhead to George when he was on afew months ago?Funny how I cannot find the clip on here.... maybe Bryan's boyfriend ermm manger Bruce Allen had it removed haha. An arsehole is an arsehole and from what I hear about Bryan that certainly applies! George it toally cool!

Amazing how little homework interviewers (or their staff?) do: what a lot of dull, irrelevant questions to ask someone of Lightfoot's stature. Although, I recall Peter Gzwoski doing similar with Lightfoot about 10 years ago and it was even more inane. Poor Gordon. |
