leslietrav. The thing that bothers me with muslims is they seem to consider themselves, more important than people like me Athiests and Non Muslims. You only have to look at Saudi Arabia and their attitudes towards the NON belivers. They say things like Death to the Non believers. This I consider a very dangerous way of thinking. It divides people.

tanguera33,That's wild enough! Message me, I think we must be close to the same age...I was always a Cat fan from childhood. his music is as understandable to children as adults. I loved and adored him as a teenager. Never got to a concert though, I lived out in the stick back then.

Thanks for posting this. He toured here in '71 and I remember the concert really well. Lovely evening - first "rock" concert I ever went to! All seemd very radical at the time - had some serious negotiations to do wth the parents to be able to go:)He was drinking Bourbon and took a fancy to a young woman in the front row "Hay baby, want to come back and fuck me" he said. That was as outrageous as it got. Can still here the music hanging in the summer night air from all that time ago.

Nuron666, You don't have to be a secularist or non-believer to help people either. And only Allah can judge what is in the hearts of people who help others, don't forget that. Only Allah (God) knows whether it was for His sake or some other wordly sake, like fame, adulation, or to relieve one's conscience. Not you are me are the Judge of either Cat Stevens or Bob Geldof. And if Cat Yusuf wants to help muslim war orphans and the poor, the world needs this and who are you to judge who he helps?

leslietrav you say Cat helped poor and so on becuase he converted. But he only helped fellow muslims. So the non muslims got jack. Dont forget BOB GELDOF he follows no religion and he is envolved in helping the poor in AFRICA. There are lots of rich people who help charities and they dont get a mention. Leslietrav you dont have to follow a religion to be a good person. |
