It's so lovely that James Taylor was generous enough to allow one of his background singers to have a prominent solo part. Many performers will not let anyone else shine in their show because it's THEIR show.

I remember the first time watching this...seeing how Arnold just seemingly gets swept up with so much emotion that he launches into that spontaneous descant. One of my favorite musical moments ever.

I've always admired his not opting for the toupee route after he started losing his hair. A trivial observcation, perhaps, but I see it as just one more demonstration of integrity in a man who has made that quality of character a watchword of his life and art.

HiI was watching a church service from Hawaii and they were playing this song during some of the services . It's a church called New Hope . Ever hear of it ? I even got to attend that church when I was in Honolulu in '07 .

I totally agree with that. Sometimes we sing this in my church. Tell the people you know in your life, you love them. Beautiful song. |
