The arrest of John Mark Karr in Thailand in the connection to the death of JonBenet Ramsey would later become an episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent that aired on Halloween night.

I've worked in TV for 7 years now and have never seen that happen! But I do know how "technology" can crash like that, all TV news is going to computers these days and this is what happens when you trust computers too much.

I wonder what's really happening at #7 Bullfinch Place back then. Panicking, perhaps.

I recall once tuning into The CBC's flagship The National and seeing a shot of someone which I could tell was flipped in Avid... why... the Q with the lightning bolt in it as the Hydro-Quebec logo atop its building in the background of the Montreal skyline used as backdrop in a piece was backwards.. Avid does have the ability to flip pictures but it is highly frowned upon by anyone I know... as if you flip the wrong images to make for a change in cam angles for production purposes... |
