Technically speaking,Cuevas was one of the hardest hitters in WW history but his power punches were those looping hook type blows that are only Really Good against guys that were around his own size.Hearns was too tall for Cuevas to be effective with these types of punches.He would've needed a Great Overhand Right to have a chance against Hearns.That's how you KO guys much taller than you.With a Powerfull Overhand Right or left.Management should've known to avoid Hearns.
