It's already a pretty good open for the early 80s. But it went pretty well when all the bells and whistles were added.

thanks for all the memories. I worked in the engineering dept. at 7 summers 82, 83, and 84, then full-time from June of '85 through October of '89. My last three years were in ENG receive working the 6 and 11 newscasts. Hello to everyone.ENG Joe.

yes, tom and diane did the 6... dave and kate the 11 for a short stint... ellis quit... as did willis... who left to teach at northeastern for awhile before moving to the abc station in indianapolis, where she wound up marrying her coanchor clyde lee... now they are out of TV and doing some consulting in the indy area

Ellis first came to Boston way back in '68 buddy, when he became lead anchor at 'BZ for about seven years. He then went over to WABC in 1975, and in '78 returned to Boston by sharing the lead anchor role at WCVB. In 1982, Tom opted not to renew his contract with 'CVB, instead jumping at WNEV's deal to be their new lead anchor with Robin Young. Tom Ellis used to work in New York before coming to Boston in 1982. Obviously he never left. Whatever happened to Robin Young.... she didn't stay too long if I remember.

The animation in the intro is actually unfinished. danf62465 put the later, finished version up, and it looks so much better.
