The combination of ideas and sound and concept and visual - a complete integration made to pop music that's so moving and beautiful...Peter Gabriel confounds normal description. He truly rocked my world. I was lucky enough to see the So tour in the late eighties. He was a changer of the whole musical world.

Spiritually uplifting, as usual for Peter.

what a heart-wrenchingly beautiful song.US was perhaps the best breakup album since Dylan's Blood on the Tracks.

I've seen Yes (who I love)countless times; Pink Floyd's 'Animals'; Deep Purple in '73; Zappa many times; Gentle Giant, BeBop Deluxe...the list seems endless. And this show...and this performance, remain the pinnacle. To me, there is no better lineup for Peter's band: They don't just play together, they listen to each other and feel the music together. A more delicate balance with such a diverse palette of sound I just cannot imagine. Oh, to go back to '93 again....thanks for the post. Peace :-) |
