Steve tried to be Journey singing "All by Myself" when he had his solo career. So what happened? Did the people buy it? You cannot fool the people into dismissing Neal Schon's guitar riffs, lyrics and Cain's melodies, lyrics, arrangements and his transition of Rolie's Hammond B-3 organs to his own synthesizers. These are major ingredients that led to the bands success not just Perry's voice and his coattailing on Cain's ideas just to get song credits.

AFAIK, Perry only composed one or two songs solely on his own. The rest were co-written either with Jon Cain or Neal Schon. Their first hit album was Infinity w/c included their ORIGINAL frontman Robert Fleischman's ORIGINALLY written or co-written songs. Perry throughout most of his career and even up to now Arnel also sings Wheel in the Sky, Anytime etc. either in records or in concerts. Do some more research will ya.

actually rumours has it............never say never and even perry was to comeback once more he'd sell more albums on his own than the current journey

and in return steve has given journey countless hits and more platinum albums that arnel will never accomplish so its pointless only fans really liking him is his fellow pinoys for me augeri,pineda,soto,are dead last.journey died when his band backstabbed him,all they had to was wait for steve to get better and now they resorted to 3rd world rock..
