""until then, who cares."We do,"nobody cares about that either.

"form to scientific method. Experiments must be replicable and theories must be "falsifiable." Scientology was not developed according to modern experimental methods."well, by this definition, "psychology, psychiatry, and psychoanalysis" are not sciences either.not to mention sociology, anthropology etc etc...so what.

"Wrong. If anything $cientology's reputation gets worse every year. It will never be "vindicated""well, we'll just see about that, won't we.

Who are you trying to convince roby, me or YOURSELF??
someguynameddavid (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
robyonder. I politely asked you a pointed question. Would you kindly answer it?

David ChidesterProfessor ofComparative ReligionUniversity of Cape TownSouth Africathe Church of Scientology has worked to reclaim this religious function of healing. In particular, Scientology practice is directed toward achieving a spiritual healing that can have positive consequences for the health and well-being of the mind and body.

robyonder. You seem to be very adamant in regards to your belief system. That being scientology.A question if i may. If you hold true to your system of values and beliefs as a scientologist, would you lay down your life for that which LRH expounded upon? To advance or protect that belief system? If one is true to himself, would not this be the standard in which one would hold true?

GARY D. BOUMA, PH.D.Sociology) Ph.D. Cornell University(Sociology of Religion).I have read various books about Scientology and visited the church in Victoria. On the basis of these documents and that visit it is my professional opinion that the Church of Scientology can reasonably be categorized a religion. Permit me to elaborate.

Hey practice whatever ya want roby. You want to talk to ashtrays for hours on end? Go for it. But the organization of $cientology should not be allowed to abuse the rights of its adherents, including children, under the guise of "religion".You're neither a religion nor science, and you shrink a little more each day.Anonymous delivers.

lots of great people were also thought of that way at first.I'm satisfied that I know what Scientology actually is, and it will be TOTALLY vindicated over any negative opinion it may have in some quarters now.Wrong. If anything $cientology's reputation gets worse every year. It will never be "vindicated", but merely dismantled and thrown into the trash heap of Jim Jones, Heaven's Gate and David Koresh. |
