In the movie, he says he went to a city college (aka garbage school). I'm guessing economics, finance, or some major absolutely not pertaining to finance.

Greed is good if the rest of the room is filled with simpering fools.

Gordon Gekko is representative of what can go wrong when too many people take the mantra of "Greed is good" and make it a personal motto.

What did Gekko study? Where did he go to school?

I love this. Too many people see this speech and say hes what's wrong with American Companies today. In reality, he's what right. Managment needs to have a long term stake in the company or it will fail, they dont have any stake in the company doing well over the next 20 years, only in the next 2 quarters before they jump ship with hundreds of millions of dollars in inflated value.

Reality Bites in this movie. This flick does have some errors in its Economics. I do agree that it opens the eyes back then and now to the market.
