When I first heard this CD, I was thinking maybe he had his heart broken by someone. Later, I heard that his CD was political. If I interpret correctly, what a genius way to address a: political leader? Party? Not sure, but if he is talking to Bush (let's say), it sure drives home a new perspective of relationship; how the 'turning away' might happen???

yes, for some reason it seems like a song about a relationship and loss. altho' I think the singer himself mentioned a different interpretation. this song makes me nostalgic, however.

Doesn't anyone else think this song is about someone who commited suicide? Listen to the words and notice that Michael's image is ghost-like in much of the video. |
