Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera are trash? Well, no arguments there my friend.I keed.You said yourself, albeit implicitly, that not everything is to everyone's tastes. As it happens, I think Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera, to use your examples are shit. I'm not denying that without them, metal probably wouldn't have advanced into what it is today, but that doesn't stop me thinking that those 3 bands suck.

I'm going to pass. I don't have to like the foundations. Point is... Metal has come a long way. It's time for bands like Slayer and Metallica to take a back seat and had over the baton and in accordance, people should stop preaching about how godly they are.

I guess that is your opinion.Metal was pretty much founded upon those early thrash bands though. Disliking them is like liking Britney Spears without first liking michael jackson.try it again. They are actually quite varied outside of the mainstream thrash bands. Try Coroner or Exhorder.

woah woah woah! I like Protest the Hero as much as the next guy, but Slayer sucks!? thats kinda harsh considering the thrash side of this band pretty much came from bands like slayer and anthrax.
