Fujiya & Miyagi-Ankle Injuries

Despite the Japanese name, Fujiya & Miyagi hail from sunny Brighton UK and aren't Japanese at all. The origins of the band's name come from a character in the movie The Karate Kid as well as the brand of a record player. To add to the confusion, their musical style is distinctly German. Ankle Injuries is from their new album, Transparent Things which is apparently named for a Vladimir Nabokov novel.Directed by Wade Shotter, their new music video is a work of art. A painstaking stop-motion video made from coloured dice, with the numbers being used for subtle tonal variations. Production Company: Factory Films, LondonDirector: Wade ShotterProducer: Paul FennellyAnimation: Wade Shotter & Yuk Foo (New Zealand) http://www.fujiya-miyagi.co.uk...
