Just bought The Falls best of and found out this song is about an office party that turned to disaster because of a gas leak nobody noticed and someone who decided to light up a fag oblivious to this fact. That explains the shirt tails a flappin in the wind. Can anyone tell me what Wings is about though? I've been trying to decipher that one for ages.

Good riff indeed ! This was from 1985 , released about the same time as This Nation's Saving Grace ( my fave Fall album ) as a single but not actually on the album - but the recent re-releases include it as an ' extra ' . Tonight is the first time i've seen this video in full , in oct/nov '85 the OGWT showed a brief 5 second clip of this , it lost out on the video vote to - oh ,god know's who ! I remember Louden Wainwright III opened the programme. Ah , memories....

Up there with Wings and Kicker Conspiracy. Good riff and nice hard edge. What year is it though?
