Chechnya war is bullshit, just like Iraq and Afghanistan. They need to stop. We need decent leaders. No corporate or secret service people leading super powers. This world will get fucked up if we prove our selves democracy doesn't work.

For some time it was. but not Russia, the USSR, all your railroads, all your infrastructure was made by USSR, or may be you want to disagree? Nowadays, of course, Baltic countries are independent,and it's Ok.

But still. this is awful-I do believe in self determination--but in the end, who ever has the power will hold on to a disputed area. Like Israel--they have the most weapons, the most foreign aid--they get to take Palestinian land.

Everybody is shitting his pants about Katyn, but nobody cares for the fact that Ukrainian nationalists killed about 4x more people in Poland during WW2. Their mini-Hitler Bandera is a hero now. It's hot to be an oppressed minority and everyone just shits on Russia, because that's what Russia is for. Took all the violence of the Mongols on its back, freed Europe from Napoleon and Hitler, 95% of the population always suffering and getting mocked abroad. What a queer fate that is.

And besides nobody mentions the genocide against the Russian population even before the 1st Chechen war was launched. Who cares if some Russians die. In 1932-33 in all agrarian areas of the SU people starved to death, but now the Ukrainians are acting as if those evul Russians committed a genocide against them just like the Germans did against the Jews. When the Baltic states were invaded by Stalin, many local Russians were killed, but nobody cares. |
