Have been to over 200 concerts and seen just about everyone there is to see in 40 years, and ELP is the only band that could do a show, play about 15 songs, of which only 8 or so have vocals, and still just blow you away. These guys are amazing.

Best live band ever.

This is definately in D major as is Copland's original composition. The live 1974 tempo is quicker but then Carl Palmer had a tendency to speed up anyway, it was not unusual to hear Emerson reigning him back after a drum solo, but then I don't suppose they expected people to be scrutinising so closely after 30+ years!

Pink Floyd, Queen, Roxy Music and Yes.

Genesis is good too, but the sheer amount of musical form and structure and thought that ELP put into their music is rivaled by none.

Best band of the 70s, hands down. Jethro Tull is the ONLY rival.
