Not to take anything away from Johnny's band but throwing an artist like McLaughlin in the middle of a big band sounds like a train wreck

@TIMTIMPRODUCTIONS537:right, but the most astonishing thing about him is that all 16 notes are well thought, well laid out melody - for example, listen to the incredible movement from 2:17 to 2:22, whoa! that not just cheap tricks! :)regards, peace, shredro

apperently he can play 16 notes in 1 second lol and hes very accurate

Wow. I listen to Metal quite often (among rock, but still) and even I can appreciate this. He's a shredding master and does really well with changing chords quickly. :)

yeah,pak087-mclaughlin is "clueless".i suppose that's why someone as clueless as miles davis used him on so many of his recordings.

umm this sounds pretty darn good, when was this? it's certainly not senseless, apparently he knows the changes(hee hee)..i'll bet the more he plays with his present aggregation the better it will get!..mclaughlin remains beautiful as are his groups-peace

I saw McLaughlin & Corea & the five peace band last friday and I must say that the highlight of the show was vinnie colaiuta on drums. The guys just didn't put all of their hearts into it- maybe it's because they're old or maybe because the concert was in Poland but something was missing |
