They are the main figures for the rock and roll. Some historicians say that we can find some features of R&R since 20's. Some say that Fats Domino used to record some R&R songs since 1949, but I think his first songs were similar boogie woogie songs, I don't think it was real R&R. Anyway, I think that the main character who started to make the real rock and roll was Chuck Berry.

Jerry Lee? If you would talk to every R&R singer of that era, everybody told you to be the king. The real king is Chuck Berry. He invented the system double stop for rock guitars. That is the base for playing rock and roll guitars. He was the first to enter the electric guitar as main instrument in the rock and roll, in fact we can find that feature today also. After we have other important figures who brought important innovations to R&R, as Bo Diddley and Fats Domino.

Lennon said it best, 'if rock and roll was called by any other name it would be called Chuck Berry- Jerry lee Lewis said he thought he was the King of Rock and Roll his own Mother said no son, Chuck Berry is the King of Rock and or Roll!

that's because of the genre of music.blues is built off the same repeated chord progression over and over again. basic. but works. beach boys matched this too...
