dude this guy rules to tell you the truth older comedy is a lot better than modern comedy...a LOT better.......except maybe Dane Cook, THATS IT (only like 60 70 and 80s comedy...not under 60s). Other than that old comedy is worse.

it's funny that u say you shouldn't idolize them and yet you call them pioneers. that's why they're idolized. they paved the way for modern comedy and you can see a million parallels with their humor and that of todays comics.

I guess when there's nothing better at the time this just seems funny. I couldn't imagine comparing the older comedians to today's comedians. imo comedy evolves and this type of comedy is just cliche and boring. I guess people hold on to the idea that you have to idolize the pioneers.
