I would strongly disagree...mayer is extremely creative....i would say there equally balanced with completely different techniques. Can't say one is better than the other.

I saw him with Eric at the Dallas Crossroads Festival. I looked like a deer in the headlights back then. But this kid can play!

Can you imagine what that must have been like for John Mayer? To get to perform with one of the great guitar gods. They were awesome together!

ye hes good but eric clapton can be in his death bed and still outplay this kid n yes there r some great guitarist but no one will ever play a guitar like eric clapton thats my opinion
