please do, i have not read the books for quite some time. Im sure though that Achilles's death is reported in Aethiopis which is greek literature following on from the iliad, but not made by Homer. Aethiopis reports the end of the trojan war and Achilles's death. U are right though tmrock99,Paris kills him with arrows guided by apollo, so i agree with u on the death, just not where it is reported, because i say Achilles's death is in Aethiopis not in the iliad.

I would have to disagree my friend, as acceeding Patroclus's death in book 23, BOOK 24 talks about Priam entering the Greek camp secretly. He begs Achilles for Hector's body, and it is taken away and given a funeral, at which Helen and Andromache both make some comments, and then his body is burned on a pyre. Yes it is in the Iliad.. Book 24 The Greek version anyway..And it was by the arrow of Paris..Two arrows in his left heel...Achilles was loved by Athena,Became mortalBecause he angered Zeus For killing and humiliating Hector.His Favorite.Even though Homer wrote it as a poem it was later transposed into 24 books by the Greeks So there are a lot of different views on the Subject...But fun to discuss here on You-Tube...

Sorry but wrong.Achilles did kill Hector as shown near the walls of Troy.You are correct Odysseus he was the man who won the war for the Greeks.Ajax also did not die in Troy upon returning to Greece On Agamemnon's orders Ajax and Odysseus battled for the shield of Achilles To which Odysseus won by being smarter than Ajax.
