Drops of Jupiter and Meet Virginia are two awesome songs... Whatever happened to Train anyway? They ruled the late 90's and earlier this decade and then just kind of faded away...

True. I've looked up the name Virginia and I found this in regards to the female name-"The fem. proper name is from L. Virginia, fem. of Virginius, earlier Verginius, probably related to Vergilius (cf. virgilian)." The very earliest use of the name Virginia was related to a female version of a Roman male name, evidently.

The state of Virginia is named for The Virgin Queen ,Queen Elizabeth I. However the name Virginia was indeed around before the state was formed ..For example the first English Child born in North America was christened Virginia Dare ..

I prefer my states motto ....To be rather than to seem ..It is the motto of Congress only backwards because they would seem rather than to be .

That could be a useable slogan for the state, but "Sic Semper Tyrannis" is perfectly good as the state's motto.

Yes, I *know* that. I can tell what it's about, thank you. Did you really think I was confused about the song's subject matter? My point is that I don't really like the song, and the fact that it uses my home state's name, even though it does not refer to my home state, but to the female name.

If that lady smokes a pack a day, she won't be beautiful for long.
