What has made these guys great is the ability to expand on their own abilities as musicians. They are open to learning and using new instruments. They know that the guitar isn't a main instrument, but rather a supporting instrument so it's never overwhelming.

Well, yeah, but U2 have been awful for a while now. They used to be good, even though Bono has always been a giant dickbag.This is a great song and performance, by the way. Radiohead just keep blowing me away.
