I'm surprised by Black taking on h6. Why not simply castle?Also, 5..Se4 is probably the way to go for Black.This is not a 150 Attack since e4 was very late ( but it did at least happen!)Good video anyway and another Swiss crush from Hebden!

Talk about getting crushed! You don't see that too often in GM games. White's moves came WAY too easily, and black could do nothing about it. Nice system.

what a scary, cold-blooded system against the king's indian, black didn't seem to have played the best moves though, he didn't make amends right away after white renounced the main line of the queen's pawn opening. thanks much for sharing.

in one of your latest videos you played something like an hackattack within the english: like Bd3, Qd2 and exchanging the dark-squared bishop from black, if the fianchettoed that one. I have won a game using that system quite convincinlgy I think. So thanks for this great idea within the d4-openings....great video! thanks for uploading....

When Howell played Be6, how about instead Bg4 to exchange off the good light squared bishop of white and prevent the queen being tied down to prevent the Bxc6 tactic forking king and rook? Maybe there's higher-level thinking involved here, but all of the waiting moves that Howell played like Be6 just made it seem like he was totally lost playing against this system. |
