I totally agree. Channel 7 worked best as an ABC O&O station.Remember when WXYZ used to have local versions of the ABC fall campaigns?"We're Still the One...On Channel 7" from the late 1970s"You and Me and Channel 7" from 1980"Now is the Time, Channel 7 is the Place" from 1981"Come on Along with Channel 7" from 1982Those were the days!

you know what? ABC should sell wtvg and wjrt and buy wxyz again. that way, wxyz would be an o&o again and abc would have sold the other two stations like they wanted.

I remember this when I was a kid. Does anyone have any of the old boblo boat steam boat races between Bill Bonds on one boat and Mayor Coleman Young on the other one? I would really like to see that again thanks.

you mean WTVG? well they have one in flint Michigan WJRT (from WJR AM which needs no introduction), but they are planning to sell those stations too. that would put the nearest O&O ABC station WLS in chicago like in another state (even though i had the opportunity to view WLS back in 2005 when i went there.WXYZ is responsible for all there is good from ABC today as WXYZ saved ABC from becoming like Dumont TV back in the fifties. :) but still...

At least they got to buy out a station in my town (Toledo), but it's not really the same.
