It is up to the interpreter to appreciate art by articulating an appreciation of the art and not by having a ready made appreciation dictated to them. Inserting questions serves to steer the audience's interpretation. That isn't an artist endeavour. A novelist for instance, doesn't stop in mid story to comment on the development of the story. That is the task of the reader. Art is always a relationship between the artist and the interpreter. It is the task of the interpreter to make sense of the content themselves.
