Black Sheep as well as many other rappers in that era (Black Moon, EPMD, Das Efx, G-Starr,Tribe,De La Soul to name a few) definitely represented hip hop then. I grew up in Brooklyn and it was mad cool sitting on the stoop outside with my boys with a boombox I got from my hard earned summer job, banging out the hits and freestylin'. Kids nowadays won't know what real hip hop is until they do some research, but I acknowledge it's a different era and they prefer their booty-clapping garbage music.

This video/song sends a great message. You can appreciate the music and not have to get involved in stupid stuff. Hip Hop to the fullest.
