I agree with you. Wave is the best song. Have loved it for years. Always makes me feel great when I hear it. How old was he when he died. I never got to see him in person.

hey the good music is still been done in a lot of places. Go to amazon and look for some of the new brasilian samba, or samba jazz and you will se how the creativity of Brazil did not stop in 62 when the boosa nova was over.

the best even until after he is long gone. tom jobim, the gilbertos, stan getz to name only a few, are among the most brilliant artists of all times, and i dare say that, too! creme dela creme of the music industry. Genio e grande, si!

Really good and decent music died. Tom Jobim is, perhaps, the last instance of that is left to mankind. May he be at peace, and may us live under his chords.

There is no like Jobim. I love his music, played it for my kids when they were growing up, now...they all love it the same way as I do. Wouldn't go a day without his music. Nothing like this anymore. Where has all the good music gone?

Antonio Carlos Jobim & Stan Getz were the music diplomats, that helped to expose the Bossa Nova to the world. Carlos wrote some of the most beautiful Brazilian standards.
