how short sighted of you, or do you perhaps have this utopia vision of the world where everyone gets to eat but we still live in the dark ages.scientific progress is the foundation that allows us to help people in other places of the world when it comes to helping them grow food, irrigation, farm planning etc.

I mean to say the funding (i.e. investment) for prosperity is zero-sum. I know that GDP growth and other macroeconomics indicators aren't as such. The more we spend over there, the less we spend at home.Security Vs. Privacy is a zero-sum game and balancing act.And again, i mean to say the funding for privacy (read: military funding) is zero-sum and we can't improve our military by funding other countries and incentivizing dependence upon foreign aid. |
