I hate this kind of music but she's got a great voice. Good for her.

any lindy hoppers watch this vid? it's perfect for slow lindy - a zombie lindy move would be totally sweet! >:-p

I would have to agree. After seeing her live, her voice is perfect. She was able to hit every note on her albums without any problem. She has perfect control over her voice these days.

Nellie McKay has one of the best original voices I've ever heard. And no...she's not lip-synching. She's usually live and playing the piano or any other number of instruments.

Hey retards ... she's not lip synching at all. Listen closely to the music, this has the studio version of the song AND the live version she's singing right on top of each other. You can hear both.

Either shes not lip syncing or she's lip syncing to a track of her moving away from the microphone every now and then.

I wish there were a LEETLE less of the zombies on the streets, but it's mostly cute, and Nellie is a) hilarious, b) adorable and c) not singing in any kind of falsetto at all in a song which has none; and d) no one commented on her excellent Cab Calloway-like rhythm patterns in the Rarrrr Rarrr Raaarrr Raarrrs of her back-up zombies. This is a woman well-schooled in jazz and with a voice purposely sculpted like Blossom Dearie or Doris Day. Do your homework people! She's awesome!

She's not singing into the microphone!!! (Lip synching) |
