I know this song very well in different interpretation of various singers. I am trying to learn to sing this song for two years and it is big challenge for me. After Sarah's version of Misty for first time I fully understand the lyrics and message of this song. Thanks for that!

When it comes to Misty, Sarah Vaughan's various interpretations always do it for me. Thanks for uploading this video.

Jazz is more sophisticated than any other kind music. Jazz is more diverse than any other kind of music. Jazz is more difficult than any other kind of music. Jazz is the more underrated than any other kind music.

This is Sarah at her absolute best, the greatest Jazz singer of all time. Many, many thanks for sharing this treasure!

No problem. I should say that the Tivoli album is the best vocal performance I have ever heard, so if you like SV, you will love it.

Stanley1969...thank you, I'll try to look up your recommended album. You've got me all excited because it is hard to imagine a better performance of "Misty" than the one in this video. I agree, a trio is best for Sarah because it allows her singing to be prominent. Cheers!

You should perhaps buy Sassy Swings the Tivoli, a live album recorded a couple of years prior to this show - the arrangement is the same and the performance is as good, if not better (hard to believe, I know). I think she originally recorded Misty for an album called Vaughan and Violins, but the Quincy Jones arrangement is a bit too lush - she was always better with a trio.
