I took the cards of to demonstrate to the spectator what to do when they lift of the cards. A visual instruction is far more powerful then an audio instruction. I'm sure your a magician so you would know, if something goes wrong and the spec does not cut the cards like requested, then something horrible could happen and you could end up flat on your face. That's the only reason i am holding that stack. Don't read to much into it.
