To eliminate most Federal penalties for possession of marijuana for personal use, and for other purposes. up to 100 grams and non non sale transfer of 1 Oz. It was Sponsored. by Rep. Barney Frank [D-MA]. Ron Paul is one of 7-8 cosponsors. It is being looked at by two subcommittees now. But it might be reintroduced in the next congress because supposedly 10 more congressmen want to add their names as co sponsors. Sadly my congressmen here in Oklahoma are against it. (no surprise there)

Decriminalization does exactly that, it removes the criminal element. People seem to be doing drungs anyway regardless of laws, it comes down to a prison industrial complex which thrives on mild drug offences.

..that being said, he DID "come up" with lots of new material in his latest shows :) But search Bill hicks + carlin on youtube, and you'll see a video where "Carlin influenced by Hicks" or whatever.. Watch it :)
